Every numbered lighthouse counts the ships in its row and column. It sees past other ships and lighthouses. Every ship is seen by at least one lighthouse, and ships never touch each other or a lighthouse, not even corner to corner. Tap a cell once for a ship, twice for water, and a third time to clear it. You can also pick the Ship or Water tool and tap once. Learn the ropes, on the home screen, shows the rules with an example.

No. Every puzzle has exactly one solution, and you can reach it by deduction alone.

The Voyage packs open in order. Finish all 20 puzzles of a pack and the next one opens.

Each day's five dailies open one after another. Solve Morning Mist to open Coastal Breeze, and so on up to Midnight Watch. The Sunday Challenge is a separate puzzle, and a new one arrives every Sunday.

Solve at least one puzzle a day to keep your streak going. Every seven days of streak earns a streak freeze, and you can hold one at a time. If you miss a single day while you hold one, your next solve spends it and the streak carries on.

Hint highlights the next cells you can work out and explains the reasoning in plain words. Check tells you whether any mark on the grid is wrong. When the grid is clean, the Check button turns green for a few seconds.

Your progress is kept on your iPhone only. It isn't synced between devices, and deleting the app deletes it. Restoring a backup of your iPhone to a new one brings it along.

In the app, open Settings and use Daily Reminder; you can also pick the time. You can turn notifications off at any time in the iOS Settings app.
